We have been working diligently creating this site to try and get information here that is beneficial to each of you. When considering Las Vegas as a location for you to live, we have tried to put some information in here that would assist you in finding out if this city is a fit for you. We realize there’s information that you may be wondering about we do not have contained within this site. We’re going to approach this site as a never finished product. If you have needs that you would like to see where you can find it in one source, we will endeavor to continue to share information for others to read.
We feel strongly that it is the HOAs responsibility within any given community to make their Community as sellable and marketable as possible. The community should assist in promoting their product to others so that they can have a new bloodline of people moving into the community. That is what makes their community more viable, more active, and a better place for people to relocate to. That in turn makes that community very valuable for the people who own homes there because it is active and others would enjoy living there as well.
Some communities have gone as far as to charge extra money and hinder investors when buying a property when they want to update it and resell it. Buyers talk about how dated a community is, they do not want to buy a home where all the homes in the community appear to be 30 years old and well lived in. They do want to buy a home that is newly appointed and more viable. That is why new home communities get so much activity. Many times you will find people buying a new home community that really doesn’t offer them the things that they would really like to have available within that community. They find themselves buying a home that is well-equipped and more modern rather than one that is located in an area which really suits their lifestyle better. These are some reasons why we feel like it’s the HOA’s responsibility to help promote the lifestyle and homes within their own community.
Just a little food for thought we feel that a person should make a list of things that are important to them to have available at community that they would like to live in. Where they have the opportunity to enjoy an active adult lifestyle. We also believe it is the HOAs community responsibility to make as many of those activities available to all of their residents as much as possible.
The difficulty is to have a community board that can look at the investments that they need to make into clubs, facilities, and activities to accommodate the residents that live there. One of the things that happens to a community is as people get older they may not be able to do some of the more active activities that the community has offered. Then the community will phase out those activities from their calendar of events. Often times they don’t realize that the people that could be moving in want some of those same activities that they have phased out. There needs to be a way for people to move into a community to request some activities to have an opportunity to do more things. When you have moved into a senior community and they don’t offer the activities that you would like to see, send a request to the board asking to implement some of those activities. When you send the request in, you really should be willing to donate some time and effort to help get those programs started. There are way too many people who will complain without being willing to put the time or effort in to make things better. When you find an active adult community that you would like to live in there often already many people who are putting the time and effort in to make the community better.
May you find all the success in finding the community of your choice; one that would fit your active adult lifestyle and accomplish what you have as a vision for your senior years. Keep in mind there is no perfect community and do not get paralyzed by checking boxes thinking there is one more community that is more perfect. Thinking like that can cause no movement at all and you waste years doing nothing. You will feel more energized by making changes in the culture and lifestyle you will have after making that move.
You will find one perk of living in Las Vegas is that many people will love to come visit you. Sometimes you’ll find relatives that you haven’t seen in years we willing to show up at your door and in some instances hoping you will put them up for their stay. You do need to be aware that that will happen because Vegas is a very inexpensive place to travel to. Many people look for reasons to come to Vegas. When there is an activity in Las Vegas, they then want to come spend some time here for two or three days. This can be a huge benefit of living here. Family will love to come see you with just a little bit of encouragement.
The Las Vegas community is a lot like most other communities when you get away from the downtown. There are so many things going on downtown though many people get down there just to do some of the activities that this community has going on on a daily basis. Think back for a moment the reasons that you like to come to Vegas prior to considering a moving here.
In conclusion, the Las Vegas area has so many things to offer and so much to do we believe it should be on the short list of places you would consider when retiring. There is no state income tax, which is a huge pay raise for people coming from California and areas that have taxes like that. Other benefits to this community is if people work they can actually have a home within just a few miles of the place where they work and have a very short drive. They can find affordable homes in areas close to the places where they work and want to live so that they don’t have to be on the roads for hours at a time. We hope you find this as a good resource for you and we hope to continue to be able to broaden their horizons and make it better in the future.
